(In Book. back to nature page 26) that being said means of any strain, not of any mismatched mongrel bred fish...lol that fish is very heavily peppered, and i'm guessing that may be the best in the batch? HEY!! i have an idea....lets start breeding chihuauas with Pitbulls cos we can!!! we'll call them chippits!!! will look like S@#t and ruin bloodlines for many generations but who cares hey

Quote: arn't they doing that with the lap lap dogs anyway , so whats the difference. my point exactly!!! the difference comes when the people down the line have brought 1 of these pigeon looking fish to breed with another pigeon hoping to better our bloodlines, only to find out that there is 15 other strains of discus show up in the offspring... great for wasting everyones time, efforts and money

 Re: FS.Discus
imagine spending your money on a pure bred dog(well so you thought), grow that dog up, put him to stud and find out that he isn't a pedegree dog! i think you would be PISSED OFF! but wht would you do with these mongrel pups? prob sell them i'm guessing because you wouldn't have the heart to euthanase them, just adding to the problem you were dealt unknowingly in the first place.

 Re: FS.Discus
if you were going to buy a pure bred dog to stud, wouldn't you ask to see the papers of the parents , before handing out your money,. i know for sure i would , but its not that easy for fish as there is no papers for fish is there., so it comes down to trust and experience as well as piccies on the web i guess. my main point is that people already know that most strains of discus are man made anyway , so whats the difference of Don doing the same . another one is the lorries ( birds) how many true rainbows and scaleys are there in captivity , with all the mutations going around. humans are always on the lookout for different things, wether it being colour , finage etc, so , it comes down to the main point of hybrids, cross breds ,line bred, whatever you want to call it, its here and if people can make money out of it, some will.
