  3. hi fellas, had a quick read through this, all i saw was little white worms. they are planaria, they are harmless i have been told but extremely annoying. they are from not gravel cleaning enough and feeding too much. not sure if there are any other reasons for them. i think blue gouramis eat them.
  4. thanks guys for the help, thanks todd, i am coming there very soon so i will get in contact with you.
  5. i am setting up a home made fry saver and am looking for foam, what type of foam and where do i get it from? i want like a block so i can cut it to size. just thought i would ask before getting the wrong stuff lol.

  7. thanks  put it this way my lips are hurting from smiling so much.
  8. hi everyone i just had my same trio spawn their 3rd batch of eggs in less then 50 days. 2 sundays ago there was a clump of eggs that the male kicked out and again today another different large clump of eggs. the first spawn happened 40 days from last sunday and that was only with the pair then i put in the extra female last friday and they spawned and again today. i cant wait to grow them up and get some more adults to add to my 3 pairs and 2 trios i already have. thanks.
  9. split them up if you have the space for them. i have tried both colonys and pairs or trios. while the large colony bred they were not breeding as often as the individual pairs. if your spare tanks are big enough go with 2 pairs to a tank. the dominant male will generally have the eggs but sometimes so will the littler one at the same time. also more than 1 female is a good idea as once one has bred they realease a hormone into the water that will get the other female wanting to lay some eggs. thanks.
  10. weekly a bucket or two and up to 50% to induce some spawning which seems to work.
  11. hey mate not 100% sure on others but i do no that calicos/marbles are just a cross between common and albino bristlenose.
  12. yeah agreed too many for that size tank but blues and yellows make perfect tank mates.
  13. hey the hotter the better nearly. around 27 is the best.
  14. mine are currently eating algae wafers and i give them a lebanese cucumber and zucchini 4 times a week and they are growing quickly at the moment, thanks.
