  4. 2 things you would have to worry about with using sand 1. it won't harm the fish and 2. that it won't ruin the filter. if it won't harm the fish you could always try using fine filter foam over the intake to stop any of it from being sucked into the filter and damaging the impeller.

  6. would a landscaping yard sell some? or more after some free / random bamboo growing wild. may want a long drill bit and a decent long file as bamboo has sections within its self and retains water....is a good idea and worth a try.
  7. lost power for a fair few hours the other day and had to rig up a make shift air pump which involved an air bed inflater and small fitting and an air stone. pushed the air hose onto the fitting and every so often pumped it for a couple mins....worked better than i expected hahaha has any one else had to do something with random things to save the fish during a power outage?
  8. it will be completed tomorrow, structure support beams,doors, top outer fascia and mdf enclosure then sanded and start the stain
