  1. Hi, What do you guys use for your Co2 setups. I have read people recommend the UP atomizer inline diffuser - https://www.google.com.au/search?q=up+atomizer+inline+diffuser&espv=2&biw=1396&bih=694&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjT3P3YlrLKAhVlPKYKHYZFC1AQ_AUICCgD&dpr=1.65 and others recommend a reactor - https://www.google.com.au/search?q=up+atomizer+inline+diffuser&espv=2&biw=1396&bih=694&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjT3P3YlrLKAhVlPKYKHYZFC1AQ_AUICCgD&dpr=1.65#tbm=isch&q=ista+turbo+co2+reactor+diffuser I will be using this for a medium-highly planted 4ft 300 litre tank. What would be the better option? Thanks
  2. I have considered the soda stream option, however it would be cheaper in the long run to go the larger Co2 bottle.
  3. I can get a kegonlegs 2.3kg bottle that comes filled from a local brew shop. prob get this and the kegking regulator i posted above. Would be roughly $300 for the setup, then i can make a DIY inline reactor for cheap and feed it through my canister filter.
  4. ok thanks, I am looking for brew shops in brisbane that will sell and do refills
  5. I am thinking about this bottle, http://kegking.com.au/co2-cylinders/co2-gas-cylinders-2-6kg-full.html and how does this regulator look? http://kegking.com.au/co2-cylinders/aquarium-regulator-co2-with-magnetic-solenoid-valve.html Thanks
  6. Hi, I am bout to setup Co2 for my 4ft 300 litre tank. Does anyone have any recommendations on what to get and brands to avoid etc? And with the Co2 bottles, why do people pay $300-400 for aqaurium brand bottles when you can get Co2 bottles from home brew shops for half the price? Am i missing something?
  7. Hi mate, if your looking for the aqua one brilliance 120, the cheapest place i could find them in Brisbane was pet city for $985 after member discount. I had one on order, but ended up finding another tank (aqua one aquience 1200B)
  8. i have kinda got used to it now. will leave it for the time being, then prob paint or tape it one day. Now to the fun, aquascaping. cheers
  9. Hi My new bow tank didn't come with any Styrofoam or such so I've added some i had lying around to prevent any future cracks. The problem now is the stand does not hide the Styrofoam layer like traditional wooden stands. As you can see from the attached pics the Styrofoam is pretty noticeable. I was thinking of either painting it or taping over it to hide it. What do you guys reckon? Thanks
  10. got the bow tank in the end, got it cheaper and free delivery. the wife also likes the bow. whoooo hoooo
  11. yep includes everything. just unsure if i should go normal rectangle vs bowfront
  12. Hi, I am in the process of ordering a new tank. I can get an Aqua One brilliance 120 for $985 (292 litres) or the Aqua One Aquience bow front 1200b for $950 (300 litres) Iv'e never had a bow front tank, so was wondering what benefits these would have. Or any other recommendations. Thanks
  13. Hi, After 4 years away from the hobby, due to living overseas and working away I am finally in a position to get back into tropical fish keeping. I have kept fish most of my life, previously had some 4ft tanks (angel fish and tetra tank), (silver dollar tank), (native rainbow tank) and a 2ft mixed tank. I have just ordered a new 4ft, 300 litre tank, and am currently in the planning process for this tank. I will be setting this up as a heavily planted amazon tetra tank over the next few months. I look forward to your help and sharing my progress with you.
