  1. Hey everyone, I want to swap 2 male l134’s for different l134 males so that I have a different bloodline in my colony. My males are 4yrs old, and I can prove where they came from. I am located in boronia heights, QLD, I can’t ship so it will have to be a face to face trade. Let me know what you have, and I can supply pictures once I take some.
  2. Are there any 387 or l201 plecos around Brisbane/South Brisbane? maybe consider swapping my x1 male l134, x1 sub adult/adult l134, and or x2 l134 fry. I don’t want to sell my l134’s so don’t enquire unless you’ve got an l201 colony/almost adults, or l387’s.
  3. Yeah that’s very true, considering the discus require such a high protein diet. Atleast you’ve got a cleanup crew haha. Wow that sucks, they definitely don’t go well with high protein diets, but I’ve found that they do however go well with some meat in their diet. That’s a nice collection. I wouldn’t mind adding 201’s and L007’s to my collection one day. Thank you though, I thought I would ask though as my l397’s breed regularly, and I thought to maybe swap for some different L’s and watch them grow.
  4. That’s okay :). My l397’s get fed the same as my l134’s. Mainly a vege diet, with 2 days a week of meat. I find this best for both species as it helps with the egg development in the l397’s and it makes the l134’s more active.
  5. also i think the number that you supplied is wrong
  6. would you be interested in swapping fry for fry? ive got L397's
  7. ive got 2 @3cm and 1 @5cm. $40 for the 3. Boronia heights, 25mins or so from you near browns plains.
  8. located boronia heights, QLD. I have a 5ft tank and stand for sale or swap for a 5ft sump. tank is 5ft x 45cm high, x 60cm wide. There is a hole on the side that can be plumbed into a sump. The hole you can see in the bottom of the tank is the foam as there is a piece missing. There are only 2 lids but they don’t cover the whole tank.
  9. Tanzanian mirrorball cichlids for sale: Males $80ea x 6 (12-14cm) Female $100 x 1 (9cm) Or buy the whole lot (all 7) $550. And I’ll throw in the OB peacock for free (last pic)
  10. I think this guy does it illegally. He goes on a holiday and collects the sand in bags and sells them for $30 for 30kg of sand from Fraser. But the sand does look really nice in the tank
  11. Depends what look you want. Bunnings play sand is almost like a really light brown. Some landscape places may have some sand. Or there’s a guy at the Gold Coast that sells pure white sand from Fraser Island (nice and white). All need to be washed thoroughly though.
  12. Welcome to the forum, what kind of catfish are you going to breed/ or are breeding now?. I keep and breed a few myself.
  13. I recommend protozin! And don’t turn the heat up as it speeds up the cycle of the white spot which with the wrong meds can make it breed like crazy and kill off fish. I used protozin and didn’t lose a single fish.
  14. Great setup!. Is that a digital temperature gauge?.
  15. Welcome!. There are plenty to choose from haha. I’ve got some 4cm dolphin cichlids for sale at the moment :).
  16. What type of generator? My power went out about 1 hr ago and fish tanks are stocked so hopefully I don’t lose any
  17. Hey everyone, I’m after some help on setting up an 8ft with a sump. Ive got an 8ft but it hasn’t been drilled yet, so im pretty much after advice to set it up from just a tank to a tank with holes, plumbing and also how to set up a sump. What size hole should I drill, how many should I drill, what plumbing bits should I use from the tank all the way to the sump. How should I divide the sump and what media should I use, what return pump and heater etc. i was thinking of going a 4ft sump, hopefully hat would be good enough for an 8ft tank that will have African cichlids in it (frontosa, dolphins, electric yellows, clown loach). Drawings with writing would help a lot more or even photos. Thanks for you help
