  1. Does anyone on the northside of Brisbane (caboolture) sell this at all?
  2. They did a section on this on that 'Costa' show(sundays) on SBS, It was very interesting indeed. They had some huge fish in ponds under their garden beds, very clever.
  3. No worries, thanks for your input. I have put my two plecos in instead
  4. I have 5 of these about 7cm not including tails, would they be OK in a community tank with a sail-fin pleco, a colony of albino afra and a colony of yellow tail acei? I just want to make sure they will be compatible with my cichlids. Thanks
  5. People suck... thats what i get out if this situation. I have been to many hobbyists homes and even if they are stressed or the house is a bit unkempt, their tanks are always immaculate. And the care of the fish n the tanks should be what is important. Sellers on this site almost always sell the fish well under pet shop prices, and so even when selling, it's not like your really that much better off, not once you look at what was spent on the food, water, tanks and electricity to get the things in the first place. I buy and sell fish, and that only covers their food. What a load of garbage, don't they have something better to do like deal with animals that are being abused, etc... I am glad my council has bigger problems! Good Luck

  10. I have turned the sponge filter right down so that it doesn't disturb the surface much at all, we have plenty of green water as we have tanks in filtered sunlight, and I already have a bucket with plants an green water in it, which is handy.
  11. wow, thanks, that is also very helpful a little project for my weekend
  12. thanks, this has been very helpful, could you please tell me how to make green water, I usually deal with cichlids.
  13. tank is 2ft x 18" by 18", at the moment there is a sponge filter in it, no other fish. Fluro lights on between 2pm and 8pm, other then that tank is in the dark. Tank is not heated, but is in an insulated room and doesn't drop bellow 26.
  14. um, ok, I am not sure if you were being helpful or rude, either way as I stated that I have a pair, i assumed people would see this and realize that I have a male and a female, that is currently full of eggs, hence me wanting to breed them, the duck weed was a handy hint though. Should I use an air stone or not? I have read that they can cause too much water movement and disturb the egg nest.
  15. I have a pair of opaline gourami, anyone have any experence on breeding these? Any advice would be much appreciated.
