Patience is not my strong point...
So, after waiting all of a day or two, the leading contender in the poll is the second one.
Giant Pink Gourami – Billabong Bayou
    Sounds good to me :-)
@gingerbeer 's suggestion of "OMG not the GPG thread again! Why the Fish"
is hereby considered "null & void" as no bribery was entered into (or even offered!).

    Saturday Report
"G" for George was spotted in the Billabong this arvo. I had been a little concerned when I hadn't seen him at all over the Winter months. Good to know he's stilll in the land water of the living.
I eyed off the iris plants, but ran out of puff what with all the standard Saturday-style jobs:-
Pick mulberry leaves for bl**dy millions of silkworms, wash work clothes, take border collie to park to exercise her sheep-herding skills & my non-existent whistling skills (due to lack of available sheep in suburban Stafford we used a tennis ball instead - please note it was a quality "Slazenger Wimbeldon 3" tennis ball that actually bounces - not the cr@ppy ones you get from dodgy P3tb@rn stores), start the clean-out/refresh of the inside 90litre aquarium (now that daughter is gone again, it all devolves to me), vacuum bits of the house that obviously need it - ignore the rest, chop spinach/defrost peas & beans/add pellets - feed hungry Giant Pink Gouramis, hang out clothes and sheets from wash, see that the bl**dy mulberry tree door from next door has a broken branch poking a hole in the temporary garage shelter - fix, drag the blue Billabong pool cover on to lawn and fold up (!) then wrap with rope and hide in shed, take clothes off line, feed bl**dy silkworms again, mow back lawn, defrost something in fridge for tea, post stuff in QLDAF...
I'm sure you get the general idea...
In fact it's pretty much exactly like YOUR Saturday's list of stuff-to-do !

    The only difference ? ? ?
I got to sit for 10min with my toes dangling in the green Billabong at the end of the day watching 20+ GPGs surface and devour handfuls of floating pellets !  Wheeeee ! ! !
Wouldn't swap my pond for any size tank

Keep up the good work - We're aiming to make Page 1 before Christmas!

    Surprise!
About to leave for work this morning, and a Star-Track driver bangs on the door. “Parcel !”

In comes a reasonably large cardboard box, and I slide it to one side noting vaguely that ‘6kg’ is printed on it. Anyway, all day at work I’m wondering what it is… did I sleep-walk to the PC in the middle of the night and eBuy something?  Is my daughter sending a late Father’s Day pressie?

Home tonight and crack it open…

    Ahh!

Way back in May, I had ordered a 16kg pellet bag from Aquaholics Online and a 5kg Ocean Nutrition Koi Balance from The Age of Aquariums. The giant bag of pellets turned up from Aquaholics, but AoA advised they had just sold the last Koi Balance before my order went in. Those guys obviously have a very long memory because that’s what was in the box! (I hope my bank account had $$$ to pay for it ! , otherwise Donny will be after me with a boat-hook!).

    Well Done AoA!

A leetle late, but better late than never – the GPGs will appreciate it. Here’s afternoon tea for the GPGs and Oscars.

(it's alright - that's a pellet floating just behind his eye! He doesn't have HITH )
And finally, here are the water iris plants busting out of their kiddie pond (along with one monster papyrus plant). They can’t wait to get back into the Billabong!

Hooray! 16kg of pelletty goodness from Aquaholics Online arrived!
    There you go...
The title says it all, you don't need pictures!
    But...
about 2weeks ago, I'd run out of pellets to add to the vegie mix. Was getting desperate, so I found some giant berley pellets at BCF !
    Yay team!

Now I have 16 kg which should last at least 3 months!  I usually hit up AOA for a couple of 5kg buckets of  Ocean Nutrition Koi Balance 7mm  so that'll be next on the shopping list if they have some in stock.
And, as a bonus, strawberries are quite cheap - so I bought a kilo of strawberries to chop up and feed to the GPGs over the next week.
I'll save a few for my dessert - no worries

    Funny you should mention that...
Around the other side of the shed from the iris plants are these two beauties.

Masters had them in the variegated pot/basket dept and they're huge (you can tell the size based on the fishie foam boxes) - just the right size for GPGs!
I'll be connecting them to the side of the pool with the stainless steel rope anchors that boaties use so as to not lose their tinny's engine overboard.
The black squares are ceramic pot bases to weigh them down and provide a base for any potential nests - I think I've officially given up on the "make-it-yourself" nest type things!
    Cheers, Grover

PS: the agistment idea has had to be put on hold temporarily for this year, so it's just me, the Billabong, and too many GPGs...

    'ello  'ello!
Thanx for the long memory you guys have!
I'd actually forgotten my order of 5kg Koi Balance until I ran out of alternate pellets a fortnight ago.
As you can tell, 20+ Giant Pink Gouramis in the Billabong go through a serious amount of food in a short time.
Very appreciative of your great service.
    Cheers,
    Grover

The GPGs are vegetarian, and the toga doesn't eat much except pellets and the odd platy.
It's the huge Albino Oscars you have to watch out for - you'll lose a toe wading in the shallow end of the Billabong
