  2. What a great Auction had to have been the largest in the last couple of years. Heaps of cheap plants and fish. L#'s at unreal prices. Most sellers were happy with only a few pass ins. The last seller had no pass ins at all and was happy as he only had to reduce his reserves a little and everything sold. Thank you to everyone who helped.
  3. Best place for buying plants?

Thanks Graeme, problem I had resolved Sat night at the auction after talking to you.

  7. QAH AUCTION Saturday 2nd SEPT

Was a buyers night. lots of stuff passed in because the reserves were too high for what people were willing to pay. But there were some SUPER SPECIAL deals like two 6 bar Frontosa F1 16 - 17 cm for only $25.00 each. Or a bag of wild caught Bleeding Heart tetras - 10 in the bag for just $70.00. Missed the L numbers that went through but some great buys there as well. Some GREAT plants and timber as well. All up a reasonable night if you watched how you spent your money with some great bargins and all finished by 10.10pm
  8. What to do about the club section?

I hate to say it but I agree with aquaholic99. The clubs all have their own Facebook and website so they don't need or use the club section here. Just get rid of it, but leave the Events section.

Grundfos pumps are really good for the larger tanks.
  11. QCG MARKET DAY

SATURDAY JULY 22ND QUEENSLAND CICHLID GROUP MARKET DAY CONFIRMED Ipswich Vigoro Club Hall (Far End) of Joyce Street, East Ipswich 10.00AM TO 2.00PM So who is going? I will have a table with Anbius, Java Fern, Crested Java Fern and other aquatic plants.
  12. How was the Auction 8/04/2017?

I did not get much but what i got was really good. a pair of Copadichromis borleyi , and couple of chocolate cichlids, some black neon's and lots of very very good plants. Hall is massive, about 200 seats were set out and they covered about 1/4 of the available space. Plenty of parking and very easy to get to just off the highway. Auction was a little late in starting about 5.30pm and finished about 10.30. It may have been a buyers night, but as a seller everything I put in the auction sold. And I got almost double the reserve on everything so as far as I was concerned it was a sellers night as well. The next Q.F.A.S. auction is tentatively book for November 16th also at Springwood Road State School.
  13. QFAS SUPER AUCTION 8TH APRIL

This auction is on in 3 days time and is the first one on the south side of town since the Gold Coast ones stopped. Who is going and what are they selling or looking to buy. Me I want some good display and show quality fish for the up coming shows - got very little at home at present. Graeme
  14. Saturday 8TH APRIL CONFIRMED Q.F.A.S. SUPER AUCTION Fish in at 3.30pm TO 6.00pm. Auction starts 5.00pm Springwood Road State School Springwood Road Springwood This is the same venue where the Market Days were held.
  15. For those of you that are interested. The Q.F.A.S. Super Auctions will no longer be held at the Ambrose Treacy College at Indooroopilly, due to the college renovating the building. As a result the next QFAS Auction, that was supposed to be on the 18th March has been postponed. We are talking to Springwood Road State School (where the Market Days were held) to try and organise some dates for this years auctions. At present nothing is final but we are looking at the 8th April and 18th November and maybe even another Market Day sometime in June / July. As soon as anything is final we will let everyone know. Graeme
