  1. Great looking fish! Don't see too many Kigoma around.
  2. Hey guys, I've seen a few pics of this online, but have not seen one in the flesh. Anyone have any experience seeing these around? [/img]
  3. I got two lots of Brichardi, a few plants and two fire fin comps. A few other bits and pieces as well. Was interesting for my first auction.

  10. Or just dont strip! I let mine just come to term. Unless you're wanting the breeding turn around time to shorten, I'd let them go. But thats just me.
  11. I wouldn't have them in a 2 footer at all. They want a bit more space than that. Also plenty of rocks/hiding places, and definitely get more yellows in there and/or other fish. As Roo said, the rainbows are great tank mates for them...I'm sure theres others out there too. But your first step is too get them in a larger tank. No matter what you do, they won't be happy in a tank that small.
  12. Water quality aside, I found that having a couple of males in there works real well, as it increases competition. Not only that, a male on his own will hound any females in the tank, and make them really uninterested in breeding. Another male in there will give him something else to chase. In your case, it sounds like water quality might be your problem, but its a handy tip in any case. Dave
