  1. thanks everyone. You were right it was a male. Ive bought a female companion for him and he's quite happy now. I can easily tell the two sexes now that i can compare. Thanks for your replies
  2. hi everyone. I was wondering if anyone could help me with determining the sex of my acei ngara (photo below). i assumed it was a female because it has no egg spots visible but flares its fins and chases the male in the tank. is this normal for females? Is it a female or a male without egg spot?
