Giant Pink Gourami – Billabong Bayou

Just a query. But are the Oscars still cruising around? There are some rather large goldfish to be seen. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Love ya work Grover. As for #1 daughter, I've had my brother fishing in a 4fter with a 13ft surf rod. Quite interesting to walk in on at 2am.

Have you considered something like cane vine. Similar to the stuff they make the table ornaments out of in the Balinese style shops. Not sure on how you'd go bulk purchasing it. But it might get the brain juices flowing
5. Bit of a noob with both big tanks and multiple setups but I've been reading a lot of threads on here. If you are currently running all of your livestock on similar parameters then I couldn't see a major issue with a single sump. If you were to run your outlets from say top left to mid left then from mid right to sump right. That would allow for cross flow between the 2 stocked tanks. Again from doing a lot of reading, it would seem that running your cichlid water down to the planted tank would also act as a kind of prefilter due to the proposed plant life in the mid tank. Fish poo makes great fertiliser, lessening the need for high dosing levels. As I said, I'm no expert. I've never owned more than a 4ft myself, but I have researched and followed some of the amazing builds on here.

Maybe a bigger pool in a more tropical climate. Be a sad day to the locals if that ever happens. This has been an amazing thread to follow, keep up the good work.
7. No, Grover65k I think this method of fish keeping is much more entertaining. Also assisting with or local bred variety of GPG's.
8. I'm waiting. Not often I put my 2 cents in. But was cruising through a few Aquaponics vids on YouTube, hope it works for you. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

11. I love that this isn't just a straight forward build. So many things getting changed and modified along the way. Bring on the clear Billabong waters and babies. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
12. Thanks for the mention Grover65k. Has been an awesome read whilst I've been laid up in pain. Can't wait to see what the new year brings for this most epic of sagas. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
13. No worries. Just looked like it'd fit better. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
14. Hey Grover65k, Was just looking at your handy work with the frames and was thinking that maybe the short or mid length poles should be on the side where you've got the long ones. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
