  6. Firstly we would like to thank the members in their support, which has been very positive and appreciate all the feedback that has been given and happy to listen your ideas to make the site better for you. One of the things that was mentioned was that the freighting was a little confusing - we listened and now have a flat rate delivery fee of just $7.50 and all orders are advised when they are shipped including a tracing number. Some of the brands that have been added include. Aquasonic - Australian Made - Test Kits, Medications - Water Conditioners - Fry Starter Food Brightwell Aquatics - Water Conditioners designed for specific fish - Rainbows - Discus - Cichlids - Riftlake Tunze Pumps - German Manufactured - Small wattage - Superb Quality There was over 50 items added today and at the moment every single item is in stock. You will notice there are no items in books at the moment and this should change tomorrow. We are in talks with a few companies and there is still a lot more to come. If you have not visited us lately it might be a good chance to take a look - and do not forget your QLDAF discount... The Tech Den - Quality Aquarium Products
  7. Just wondering if someone can explain to me in simple terms please about planted tanks and Iron? I have brought an iron test kit as I read that it is dangerous to have too much iron in a planted tank, and I do dose a couple of times with Flourish Iron along with other flourish products. My first reading is 0.25 which I suspect is good (safe). What should I be aiming for though? Should I be aiming for a higher reading for the tank? Or is this test kit just to make sure you are not overdosing and keep below 2 ? I believe that over 2 is dangerous? Thanks
  8. I have two different branded ammonia tests, one Nutrafin one Aquasonic. Today I decided to test all my tanks with both tests instead of using just the Nutrafin. (the Aquasonic I purchased only last week). According to the Nutrafin test my ammonia levels were 0 ppm. According to the Aquasonic they were between 5-10ppm. I followed the directions exactly as they state but dont know which one I am now to follow? Which test brand would be more accurate and is this a factor as they should all be similar accuracy I would think? I have fish in all the tested tanks some of which are breeding happily.
  9. Aquasonic Fry Starter Food 1L Australian Made! Aquasonic, A Trusted Name In Australian Aquacultur FRY STARTER is excellent as a first food for newly hatched fry. Fry Starter stays in suspension longer than it's competitors, allowing more time for newly hatched fry to find food. Fry Starter contains a variety of sizes of micro pulverized food particles suitable for both egglayers and livebearers. Fry Starter has more ingredients, offering a larger selection of food types to satisy fussy eaters. Feed newly hatched fry at least 3 times daily. 3 or 4 drops may be sufficent dependent on aquarium size and fry numbers. Well that's what the product description is does any one use this stuff if so how does it rate ?? Regards Trevor Ps. Found this on eBay seller name is macs aquariums
