  3. Thought I would use this space to gather everyones thoughts on this food. I have only just seen it in Aus but its pretty competitive overseas with brands like Hikari and NLS. Looking at the ingredients IMO it doesn't quite hold up to the other companies however time will tell. Used it for the first time today... fish took to it straight away. I am using the monster pellets which absolutely dwarfed my massivore. When putting it in the tank it doesn't sink straight away which is a shame because i try to sink pellets as soon as possible to stop my peacock bass throwing water everywhere. The pellets didn't make the water too dirty when feeding I actually expected it to be a messier pellet... especially since they are so large the fish need to chew it a few times before swallowing. Here are the main ingredients: Shrimp MealMenhaden Fish mealHerring MealWheat flourground wheatrice branwheat mindssoybean mealsquid mealspirulinadried brewers yeast paprikalecithinred pixafilsodium chlorideplenty more but these were the main ingredients.. the rest are mainly vitamin supplements and beta carotene also makes an appearance. as you can see theres quite a few "fillers" when comparing it to other brands. The guaranteed analysis:Protein 38%Fat 5%Fiber 6%who else has used this and what is your first thoughts?

  7. I was sold these fert tabs on ebay by and Australian nursery company that also sells aquatic plants. After I received them in plain plastic bags with no labelling it took me some time to get them to send me the analysis list (took 3 emails from me). Should aquatic ferts contain these: Nitrate 1% Ammoniam 1% Ureaform 16% Unrea 2% The rest are the usual trace elements (P, K, S, Mgo, Fe, Zn etc) And the thing is, the scanned label they sent me only lists how to plant ground shrubs! No mention of aquatic use. Have I been scammed? Thanks in advance.

  11. Got this email and this is on there site? It is with great sadness that we have to make the following announcement. Due to unforseen circumstances and the general economic climate, we are sad to announce that Prestige Aquatics Foods & Aquatic Goods will be closing business very soon. This will also include the Prestige Aquatics Discussion Boards. We would like to take this opportunity to say a BIG THANKS to all those who have supported Prestige Aquatics by way of purchases or active membership here on site. This site will be closed down on or before 31/08/10 and will also be placed in parking for possible future use. This will mean that only the Site Team will have access to this site for general upkeep. In light of this we have now got the AFF [Australian Fish Friends] site up to the point where it is ready to be promoted in order to get things happening. So why not copy and paste the following www into your computer's favs: The AUSTRALIAN FISH FRIENDS - Preserving the Piscatorial Passion

  16. Just wondering if anyone knows much about aquatic pests in aquariums. I have been removing what's left alive in my system and I have found what looks like dragonfly larvae. I have no idea how they got i the system as I haven't seem dragonflies in the garage but then maybe they were on some plants. Could these be what's killing the BN and whiptails? Thanks Jenny
