  3. .Evening all, I'm looking for a cheap solution for packing about 200ltrs of filter media into bags for use in the sump. Ive tried locating onion bags online, seems silly but I didn't know who or where to ask? Any suggestions would be appreciated, doesn't have to be onion bags it was just the first thing I thought of. Oh, & Im not keen on stockings for this media, or just in general…. Cheers

  7. OK bit rushed but thought I would get us started. This is the large bag from aquaholics online, its a fair bit heavier than your standard fish bag lol I would usually reccomend fasting the fish for a day, and perhaps adding a drop of an ammonia binding chemical, or even stress coat. You want the fish in the best quality water possible while in the bag, as they do not have dilution on their side any more due to the small volume of water a bag holds. Going to try make this thread a handy one, so will start off slow and get into the more advanced bagging techniques. Also will get some more videos, showing the finger movements I use when initially putting the band on the bag. IMHO thats the hardest bit of all. Theres no right way to tie a bag, my method is merely the one I have settled on after tieing many thousands of them. If you have tips or different methods PLEASE contribute them. Lets make this a one stop shop for bagging tips! I am always keen to improve my bagging method!

  13. been reading up about these guys, there seem to be alot of sceptics on them on alot of the other well known forums, http://www.novalek.com/kordon/breathing_bags/index.htm thats the main supplier, and you can buy them pretty cheap on ebay..... anyone other than lance tried these things????
  14. Hi All, Apart from the Seachem "The Bag", does anyone uses other bags or "thing" to put purigen in? Just "The Bag" is bloody expensive. Also, I am think to put it in my internal, just between the casing & the sponge. Have anyone done that? I guess as long as there is water flow, it should be all good........... Regards, Ken

Am thinking of bringing some fish down to the auction - usual method of transport is a bucket with an air stone - have tried several lfs here on the Coast - but have been unable to find out where to buy fish bags. Can anyone help? and while you are at it, who would care to give me some tips on how to bag fish ....!!!!!!!!!!! Regards
