  4. After a lot of planning, and a LOT of lifting, I got this bad boy home today I will probably need some tips on plumbing and setting up a sump as ive never used one before. It came with a 3x1x1.5 sump and I plan to buy another 4x1.5x1.5 sump. The tank was a good 400kg+ 3 metres of happiness..:dance:
  5. Well it started Saturday picked up the tank and cabinet a friend let me down so I hired a guy from gumtree to pick it up and help me get it up the stairs, $80 to deliver from Underwood to Redbank plains not bad if you ask me. I also picked up on Saturday a second hand Flugal Fx5 Rosequoll see many good reviews and thought why not even though it may be over kill for my tank I thought bigger was better more surface area more time between cleans anyway got it for what I thought was a decent price and can dial it back if need be nice and quite the only issue was the intake and outflow lines were too short but a quick trip to Bunnys today sorted that out. Rose also gave me a piece of driftwood that she had due to a pay it forward with the person that gave to her, a fantastic lady could have talked for hours but needed to get back to the tank so when I got home I pumped the rain water from last weekend out of the IBC (intermediate bulk container if you don't know what it stands for) up to the tank with rainwater and cleaned the sponges on the filter and got her running all in about an hour and a quick run to bunnys today to get some hose to replace what was on the filter it was called kinetic 25mm ID just fitted nice and tight straight over the barbs. Went for a drive today and dropped into exotic fish and purchased a test kit will probably look at the sensoreye in the near future. Anyway a pick of the tank as it is today thought I may as well drop the drift wood in as it stated to feel a little brittle as it was drying out. I will let it run for a bit

I will let it run for a week and test it next week I guess. Still haven't decided on what fish as yet but I am leaning towards Discus and that Amazing Amazon Discus tank still has my head floating.
