  1. Just wondering if there is any type of smaller sized schooling fish that would go with Malawi cichlids? I don't recall seeing any so far in other tanks, so I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask? Cheers
  2. Hi people I have a 4ft tank and am looking at wanting to place a pleco in with my african cichlids. The pleco I have fallen in love with since seeing is the sailfin pleco. Is my tank going to be too small for this pleco? If I have too small a tank can someone please recommend some plecos that would be compatible with african cichlids in my size tank? Thank you
  3. I've read that you can put anything with a ebjd that can hold it's own and not fit in its mouth. Keeping this in mind I'm thinking of getting two or three Geophagus Tapajos. My ebjd keeps to himself in his corner or the tank and only comes out at feeding time. He's about 3.5 inch and growing very very slowly. Been about that size for nearly 6 months. My tank is 4 foot (280 litres) The Geos I'd like are 5cm. How would this go? I've also been looking at firemouths...
  4. hey everyone, just wondering what kind of africans can i stick into a 5 1/2 x 2 x 3 (LWH) tank along with my kigoma frontosa colony looking at trying to add some colour maybe small colony of electric yellows? What kind of fish wont get in the way of frontosa whilst they spawn? not sure what to go with hmmmmmmmm Cheers, Timbo
  5. I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I have 4 Gold Saum on order and was wondering what other fish I could put them with for a community tank. They are only babies and I probably won't keep all of them to full grown as the tank is only 48"x18"x23". It have sand on the bottom with loads of rocks and 2 bits of driftwood. I was hoping to get a bit of variety into the tank and wondering what has worked well for others.
  6. Hi, I have a 2 foot tank with 3 electric yellows in it and they mainly hang out in the bottom area of the tank in their little caves and I was wondering if I would be able to put about a half dozen Tiger Barbs in with them to add a bit of life to the middle to top area's of the tank, could anyone tell me whether these two breeds would be compatible? Thanks in advance Kaz.
