  9. I've just set up a 2x1x1 with some whiteknights and am running a sacem marathon 300 on the tank. The cansiter has around 200g of matrix and a cup of crushed coral (can't really get much more in there). Was wondering how long it should take for the pH to be affected from the crushed coral? At the moment the pH is below 6.8 which is no good to me, it's got me lost how tap water and crushed coral in a canister can give me a pH below at least 7.5. There is no wood, tank is fresh canister has bacteria but crushed coral is a new addition and substrate is sand.
  10. Was thinking of adding crushed coral to my tanks to aid in buffering. Can anyone tell me if it can be bad for sand sifting fish like Mbuna and Peacocks? Also, should I add it gradually and with water changes???
