  1. .Go science !!!!!!! Scientists launch genetic warfare on 'mosquito fish', plan to limit fish to male only - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)
  2. Don't get caught selling it kids! Big fine. Noxious weed declarations | NSW Department of Primary Industries
  3. Further to my post on the new list. i'm just wondering, what will happen if your pets subsequently declared as noxious. I would presume laws are intended to be prospective in application (please correct me as i'm a frustrated lawyer). It is legal when you got it, but as time passes, they became included on the list. Are you supposed to declare them and euthanize your pets. how would you know of the law/list if it's updated (can they argue that ignorance of the law excuses no one)? You may be diligently looking after your pets without knowing that they are already illegal (in good faith). Can't find any material that will direct me if I can secure a SPECIAL PERMIT to hold noxious fish. I've heard from a couple of people that they have secured a permit to hold on to their alligator gar until die, but they cannot sell, breed or pass the fish on. I have sent an enquiry on DPI but have not heard from them. I was thinking, some veterans on fishkeeping here will have some input.
  4. Just recieved the new Noxious Fish list and thought some of you maybe interested... Cheers Dave and Paddy
