1. I got back on to Facebook last week (much to my disgust) as my mate is getting married tomorrow and all the photos are going to be put up into a private page for all invited to see, so now that I have created an account again, I thought I'd use it to suss out pages, groups on native Australian fish, shrimp, plants that are getting around, can people suggest a few off the top of their heads? LukeEggler?
2. I'm not sure if anyone has done this already, but FaceBook seems to be the best place to upload your photo's to to get a good link to here. You don't have to pay for the service and the photo links don't seem to die over time like a lot of other photo hosting websites do, they only crap out if you delete the picture itself. Nearly everyone on this website has an account on there already. Go to the picture you have uploaded, right click it, {Copy image address} Come back to here and paste the link between the codes . Just be aware that some pictures in old albums may not work.

9. Queensland Aquarium Hobbyists - Index You will need to create a new log in as all the old ones are gone. You can still use your old username you just have to fill in the details again. Once you register, Cary will have to confirm your membership and connect you to the chat box. This was a the most used feature of the old website and hopefully will be again. Cary has done a great job in getting this up and will continue to improve it as time goes on. Look forward to chatting with everyone soon

14. QLDAF JOINS FACEBOOK Hi Everyone. We’ve had a great response to our new thumbnails in the trading section and it seems to be catching on with most buyers making use of this feature. This is just a quick post to announce another exciting development on QLDAF in regards to our trading section. We have started a new facebook group that is linked to our trading section to get the advertisements in the trader exposure to an even wider audience. With so many people now on facebook for both social and business reasons we thought it time to revisit and further develop our page as a link to the forum & hopefully tap a wider audience, potentially gaining better results for buyers and sellers of fish on QLDAF. From now on all advertisements placed in the trader will AUTOMATICALLY also appear on our Facebook group page. I would recommend, if you are selling fish in the trading section, that you join our group so you can communicate with buyers & sellers who may be communicating with you via facebook about the fish you have for sale. The facebook page in no way replaces the QLDAF trader as people will have to link back to the trader to see full details of the listings, we would advise that you make your contact preferences in your post clear, however, it is inevitable that people will communicate via facebook in some instances. We hope our group page will be well used and give us access to a wider audience of people who would not otherwise search the trading section on the forum. There may be bugs to iron out and we may set some more comprehensive guidelines in place as we see how it runs, but for now we simply ask members to be well mannered and considerate of one another and to apply the same rules we abide by on QLDAF to all facebook dealings. Please also be aware that no links to non-Sponsoring Aquarium businesses or other forums will be permitted from the facebook page. Join Here https://www.facebook.com/groups/qldaf/ Thank you all for your co-operation and I hope that this change is beneficial to all the buyers and sellers out there. Webmaster.

20. I am very new to facebook so please bare with me if I don't use the right terms. As we are in a shopping centre we have to participate in the centres marketing programs as well as do our own. At the moment they are doing a big push with Facebook and advertising through Facebook. It appears to be a great marketing tool and lets us keep our customers up to date with new arrivals specials etc. As I have now discovered it can be hard to let people know we are on Facbook and get people to "LIKE" our page. So, as we have many friends and customers on this forum I am asking you to, if you want to of course, "LIKE" our Facebook page. I believe if you search "Redlands Pet Centre" on Facebook you should find us. Your help and support will be very much appreciated. Regards Russ
