  3. Hi boys & girls, Does anybody know where could I buy an exhaust fan which is slim and very quiet? I want to build it into a cabinet to move the air around the chiller. I have already checked the Bunnings but those ones are minimum 12cm deep and noisy. Is there any thinner than the 12cm? I am thinking about computer fans as well but I reckon a larger one could be more efficient compared to them. Do you have any recommendation/idea/experience? Thanks, Jani
  4. Hey guys I have a led light that I wish to put inside a hood. But seeing as it gets really hot just sitting on the tank I want to look at ways of cooling it and have come up with using PC fans run of a old PSU I had lying around. now my question is what way should I place the fans, pushing air into the hood or pulling air out? due to space restrictions I will have to mount them in the top of the hood above the light. thanks Edit: I should also mention that the back of the hood is open
  5. Hey guys, Does anyone know where to buy similar fans to the ones in the links below. Mum is setting up a 3 foot orchidarium (terrarium for miniature orchids). Mum has a couple of small 20cm and 30cm cubes (I wonder where they came from) set up, and has used computer fans in these, but wants something larger for the larger set up. She wants to be able to have a look at them and see for herself what they look like, how they work, and how she would mount them. 20. So now we are getting to some warmer weather I have noticed that my tanks have spiked to almost 30deg. Since chillers are super expensive I am looking into alternative options... So do cooling fans actually work? what sort of airflow is needed to be of use? will they work on 2-400L tanks? The reason I ask this is I have an idea, its extremely low power consumption, relatively low noise and very cheap..... So before I invest in the idea I need to know that it works.... so has anyone tried cooling fans and what is their experience?
  21. Does anyone / everyone find themselves using fans mounted into their hoods or chillers throughout the warmer months. My temps already sit up around 27degC now.
