  1. Does anyone have a favourite or really informative fish book? I have a few books i really like but my favourite right now is "Loaches Natural History and Aquarium Care". Cheers Stace
  2. Okay So something different - probably been done before but what the heck - not for a while at least.. So - three questions (1.) If money / legalities / space etc., were no option - what species of fish and or aquatic life would you like to have. In other words in a perfect world if you could have anything - what would it be. Extinct or not it doesn't matter.. (2). What is the favourite fish you've ever personally had and why? (doesn't have to be the rarest/ most expensive - just your own personal favourite.) (3). Lastly what is your favourite fish that you currently have and why? Just a change from the routine questions asked on the forum.. Cheers :-)

  8. Just wondering what everyone's favourite oscar food would be? How much and how often? My oscar gets fed daily with hikari cichlid gold but I'm finding he is a bit skinny compared to a lot of other oscars I have seen. There is never any left overs at meal times and is generally happy to play.
  9. I am going to be biased here but my favourite threat is Show me your OB peacocks. Cheers andyp

  16. This one is the biggest shubunkin I have, I do have a few other smaller ones though His ventral fins remind me of a koi when he swims and I look from above And here's a small one I got about 2 months ago, I got a few similiar ones with the orange and white patterning
  17. I only discovered these fish recently while exploring north of Tin Can Bay. The majority of the fish from this creek are not particularly noteworthy, but a small number have a colouring that I think resembles a praecox as they have a blue/green body with red fins. So I refer to them as the Praecox rhad (they are totally unrelated to praecox). I'm breeding these fish to try and stabilise this colour morph.
  18. The Teewah Ck strain is one of my favourites. The dominant colour in Teewah Ck is red tail with a redish-bronze front. There are also some pure red fish. When the males are in spawning colours the fins are black or black edged. Gunther Schmida image (my fish) Gunther Schmida image (my fish) My image
