  1. . Bottom tank is finished and the top one is as well. Its taken near a few months for this, but finally the flower garden affect is complete and the competition for space is in full swing.
  2. Finally after 20 months of my bottom tank recuperating from being virtually wiped out by Cyclone Oswald, it is where I want it to be. Just trimming and tossing out what gets to abundant from now on so Oswald is just a bad memory now! Still deciding on the top tanks look. All that survived Oswald. Done.
  3. The Bad New:- Well it had to finish and the bad news is that it is over and just can not run a special for a while, otherwise it is not a special. Good News:- We have dropped the price - again!! - and it is going to be a everyday buy at under $100 with your discount. The only thing better than a special is when the price is a everyday low price. Thanks to those that did get it when it was on special and thanks to you this is the reason that we will continually have it at this price so thank you for the support.

  6. finally got around to tiling, gotta track down maybe a few more plants, but its basically finished, 4mtrs long and fish pretty happy situated under pergola area with finch aviary as backdrop
  7. Started at 8pm and was only going to do one tank. Found babies in said tank so had to pull apart two other tanks to make room for the new additions. Once all that was finally sorted I decided to do a 70% water change on the 6x2x2 pep breeding tank and then the double four foot system. After all that was said and done i went ahead and changed the water in my discus tanks and then did a 50% water change on my frontosa's 8 foot tank. Safe to say I can't look at dirty tanks and not clean them. What fish crazy stories about cleaning gone wrong do you have?
  8. here is a few pics of my custom setup............ enjoy
  9. The pristine creek tank. There's gravel in it now, but not in this pic. Going to have all sorts of (friendly) small community natives. Rainbows, blue eyes (I hope) and some gudgeons and a tandan or 2. And here's the Humpybong Creek inspired tank! I love this one. Going to house 2 tilapia, 2 goldfish, 30 gambusia and some swords and mollies. Yes, that IS a shopping trolley- sourced from the shopping trolley repair yard in Darra- not stolen!
  10. its taken me months but its all done and i uploaded a simple video to youtube check it out i would love to hear what you all think:)
  11. I have finally finished my breeding setup consisting of 4 4ft tanks on a 3 tier stand and a sump runs the whole system. It certainly had its headaches and teething problems. Mind u this is my first attemp at doing this. I bought the tanks already plumbed and built the stand and did all the pipe work myself. I will post pics up very soon. Let me know what u think Cheers Dan
  12. 2 pics of the aquaponics system. All in place, but plumbing not finished yet. There's 3 1250L fish tanks, with viewing windows, and 6 540L plant grow beds. 2 of these will be filled with 19mm drainage gravel, 2 with the fancy (and expensive) expanded clay balls and 2 will be floating raft style.
  13. Had undergravel filters in this for 5 yrs without a clean. Complete strip-down and UG's removed.....Jeez there was some crap under there! Discus tank now completed kev
  14. Finally finished the lads fish room. A few disasters with 4 of the tanks on the right leaking but one replaced and the others repaired. All done and dusted..............hopefully...............but I just know he's gonna want some 6 footers once his stock grows. Currenly stocking: Jaguars Cubans Rivulatus Marbled fenestratus Rainbow cichlids Firemouths Nicaraguense Suraminensis Paratilapia Polleni Gold Sevs Green Sevs Salvinis Doviis Synspilums Red Devils Texas
