  1. I've got a few Red Forest Jewel Cichlids growing out from the last batch of eggs. Just wondering what is an acceptable size to sell them at? The red forest jewels are smaller than other cichlids fully grown. Any input is welcome. Thank you.

  14. Hi everyone, Just registered so I'm new to the forum but other members might recognize me from other forums under the name 'bugman2494' and 'netty_3164' I'm a 16 year old enthusiast and currently have 4 tanks in total, one little preformed pond as well as a few tubs spread out in the garden. ~ 4ft outdoor densely planted rainbowfish tank, 2ft planted sailfin molly tank, 23L chameleon shrimp breeding tank, 30L denesly planted planted nano shrimp tank. As a student, I am only restricted to less costly species of fish and crustaceans however always looking out to obtain more tanks and try heaps of new species. I've joined this forum in hope to meet new people and buy/sell/trade goodies within this great diverse state of Queensland. Anyways, looking forward to posting around, John Duong
  15. Hi, Wondering if anybody can give me some advice. my fish have been poorly for the last week, mainly lethargic and have gone off their food. In desperation i dosed the tank with fungus aid, today (2 days later) all have come good apart from the red Forest Jewels who are exhibiting clamped fins, panting, flared gills, lack of colour, idleness, etc. Only real changes lately have been larger weekly water changes, as i have been trying to get the nitrate levels down. (they wern't overly excessive @40ppm) I have changed my brand of water ager 2 weeks ago i put a biotech algae block in the tank as algae was getting the better of me. ( on the advice of my lfs guy who seems to know his stuff. I have checked and found no signs ofwhite spot, velvet etc Tank dimensions are 1200 x380 x 460. 10 chiclids = 2x Rivulata 2x lombardi 2x red Forest Jewel 4x Convicts. Any help / advice to save my red forest jewels greatly appreciated. Brendan
