  1. These cap flowers I call them, due to not being able to identify them properly, though I know they are a form of capensis, only open/flower and grow in the shade, none do it in the open in my tanks which makes it hard to appreciate them. All up the back of my base rock with all the other weird things there are heaps of them, but getting pics is a real pain!!!!
  2. I have these white balls appearing on my fish. It seems to spreading. I just wanted a confirmation as they DON'T seem to have the symptoms (itching on rocks and substrate, hard breathing, loss of appetite). It has also been lingering for 3 weeks or so and very gradually getting worse. All fish in the tank are complete pigs and no major fighting is going on. I have attached a couple of pics of the Blackbelt (and a Synspilum below it) whom seems to have it the worst. Should I be putting some salt in the tank, getting white spot remedy or going for some sort of fungal fix (API product maybe?). Any help is greatly appreciated as i finally have the tank exactly how I want it and don't want to have any massive losses. It is 8x2x2 so will have to treat the whole tank.
  3. I have this Trio of Spear tails The male has a green face a red patch near neck blue saddle yellow tux and a flame pattern tail. I've asked experts in Thailand and USA and I've been told it a unique colour form and rare because they have not seen it before and there are no photos on the net of it. here are some average photos of the trio.
  4. Hi everyone Just a quick query, I spotted some beautiful Orange Leleupi today at a very reputable store on the North side of Bris, Couldn't resist and bought a whole bunch with the intention of trying to get a few pairs. Once I got home and relocated them into their homes, i couldn't help but notice that the beautiful orange was now yellow. They have been in their tanks now for over 5 hours eating, and appear to be very happy. Have I been had with clever lighting or will they grow into their color? It should be noted that they are all around the 5-6 cm mark, and have been relocated from the LFS water which had a low pH, high ammonia, nitrite, and nitrates...to ph 8, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 0 nitrates. Does anyone know whats going on? Cheers Yas and Will

  6. Hi guys, I come across this a while go and forgot to share. It is about time I shared some awesome sites for you all. Here is one of high number of visited times haha...and is bookmarked on my computer; ƒAƒsƒXƒgƒOƒ‰ƒ}‚Ì’‡ŠÔy”M‘Ñ‹›}ŠÓƒŒƒˆƒ“ƒx[ƒ‹ƒAƒNƒAz Basically it is in another language so I have no idea what is going on, but the navigation bar is on the left hand side. By clicking each of them (you have no idea until you click one), then uploads a new page with English for us to view what type of apisto we are soon going to be looking at. By clicking on each of the links (sometimes multiple links per same apistogramma colour form) uploads a new page with an individual photo (hence the multiple links for the same colour form) of a gorgeous apistogramma. It is confusing a little I know, I am hopeless at explaining as well but be patient and go through the whole site thoroughly and be patient as the fish you like the most may be on a different link to that one you clicked. There are some gorgeous colour forms amongst it. There are hundreds of pictures to go through. You will be there for a while, but I promise you it is well worth it!!! So Apisto fans, tell me what you recon? What was your favorite colour forms and fish out of that site. Adam
