  9. Hey I just came down Moorak St, Taringa and there was a corner spa on the footpath for council collection. It would make a good pond if anyone is looking for one. I would hurry though. https://www.google.com.au/maps/place/Moorak+St,+Taringa+QLD+4068/@-27.4905407,152.9791072,19z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x6b9150fa0f416fbf:0xd762fed16eab0b51?hl=en

  11. ..Does anyone here have any experience with either of these two products. Looking at the bigger ones for thicker glass. Interested in the Algae Free Great White or Tiger Shark and whatever the equivalent Mag Float is. My tank has 0 nitrates and not a lot of light but I still get a bit of algae growth on the glass (gets a bit of reflected sunlight on the glass). The way my tank is set up it is pretty hard to get in or use a scraper/sponge on a handle. There is not a lot of algae growth but after about a week or so it is noticeable. My current algae magnet (think its a large Aqua One type) is pretty average and is almost useless on the stubborn algae if I dont clean the glass in a while. I am after something that will do a very good job and clean the glass up real good, but dont want to pay $150+ if it will only be a small improvement to my current one. edit- the more I can clean my glass the more pics i can post for you guys

  16. My name is Bruce and I am new to Ponds etc, fortunately I have a friend who has helped me out. I started with a few selective goldfish varieties and am now starting to branch out into Native Rainbows in a couple of water gardens. I do have approximately 11-12 baby swordtails to give away to a good home. I live in Brisbanes northside, so if anybody lives close and wants some, contact me. Regards Bruce

  18. I was surprised today to find a 3-4cm frontosa in a tank today. About a month ago I sold about 20 baby fronties from this tank and was defiantly empty for last month. Today I turned the sump pump off to do a couple of things in the sump and then turned it back on and was later surprised to see the baby frontosa swimming in the tank. The only place it could have been was in a 13mm pipe which pumps water into the tank. It must have swam against the current and jammed itself in the 13mm pipe where the water gets pumped into the tank. When I turned the pump back on today it must have flushed it out of the pipe it was trapped in. It is in perfect health and has plenty of cherry shrimp to keep it company. Can't complain with a free fronty

  20. Hey anyone who wants a twin concrete laundry tub to use a pair of small ponds, I just saw one on marshall RD Rocklea at the Bunnings Rocklea end of the street , its council clean up round there and its on the side of the Road. You'll need two people and a ute. Unfortunately I just went through there, but it was too heavy for me to lift on my own, otherwise I would have snaffled it for myself.

  23. I have a salt water tank in my office that has recently been affected by the disease "velvet” . I don’t have the facilities to nurse these fish back to good health so I’d rather give them away then let them die. They are free to whoever has the spare tanks to nurse them back to good health. Fish are: Volitan Lion, Flame Angle, Bi-Coloured Angle, Clown, Yellow Tang, Moon Wrasse, Porcupine Puffer. Please call me if you want any or all of them asap . Mat 0410654721
