  1. I have a large male electric blue in with about 40 other cichlids. The reason I'm concerned is that he is showing similar signs to low oxygenated water (constantly gasping for water/air.) apart from gasping he is fine, eating, swimming normal etc, this has been the case for about a week. The weird part is that he is the only one doing it, all the other fish are perfectly fine and happy. This one has me a bit confused, hopefully someone else a bit wiser can help me out Thanks in advance for your help
  2. Today i added 20 pencil fish to my tank but it was established and should deal with that bioload easily. I did a water change this afternoon as well and have noticed the pencils at the top of the water gasping for air, my apisto's and cory's breathing heavily. Just checked water and ammonia and nitrite are sitting at 0. I added a sponge and moved the spray bar sot hat it airrates the surface more, i am freaking out. Hopefully the extra filter and the airation helps. ANy other suggestions?? Cheers
