  1. There is a "like" button. Should there be a "hate" button? We have the option of liking a post. Should we be able to hate a post?

  6. Yep i hate australia post, very much so that i swear if you recieve something from them its going to be detroyed or half melted in transit. the fact that they melted a very rare vinyl Lp that came all the way from hawaii and was only 2000 of them ever in the world, is now useless unless i want to play frisby with fido, if that didnt frustrate me enough this really did, An Eheim 2180 ($1200 rrp) that i won on ebay came interstate and this is how i found it enjoy..
  7. I went into a Brisbane Aquarium shop this weekend, which will remain nameless, that I haven't been into for months and I was surprised to see that about 50% of their floor space was devoted to massive display tanks. What is the point !!! I can appreciate that you should have a few display tanks to give the punters an idea that you know what you are doing and give them some inspiration. But when you have this much floor space taken up by your own display, it doesn't make any sense. Moreover what stock I did see was generally pretty ordinary, overpriced and unhappy looking, and that is across all manner of species. Shan't be bothering with them again. If I want to look at massive display tanks i'll go to underwater world. If I go to an Aquarium, its usually because I want to buy something. End of rant.
  8. I hate to be a pedant but this Area should be named Australian and New Guinea natives. Half the island is the Indonesian province of Irian Jaya. Only half the island is PNG. Moreover a huge amount of the Rainbows we keep come from the Indonesian side, forinstance M. Boesmani is an Irian Jaya fish as are most of the Glossolepis and chilatherina Genera.
  9. Over many ears I have lost a great deal of my favourite marine creatures, being the tub worm or feather duster worm. As usual when I get a tubeworm I prepare it so this killer does not get into the aquarium and multiply, eventually wiping out all tubeworms. I have a pic of the egg blister that carries the larvae of these creatures, but no adult pic till now. While collecting I found an infected tube worm so I now havea pic of this horrible species of worm. I have no idea of it’s name, but in time I hope to find its Latin name.

  18. I've had an AWFUL WEEK. So I'm going to have a little stupid childish temper tantrum to get it out of my system. In the last week I've lost 3 ottos in the main system. My main tank has come down with a nasty case of fungus. My little bass has fin rot. I've lost 8 albino longfin juvies. I've lost 2 common longfins. I've lost OVER 200 (FSHGKJSD^&^*%$&$!!!) baby bristlenose What bristlenose are left have whitespot. Water tests fine. All I can figure that I did? Waterchanges with WARM water. The water out of my tap is offcolour as well, but I haven't had issues in the past. (Alternately, I'm a horrible fish owner) I'm about 3 seconds away from selling everything, moving to the woods and becoming a hermit. *sob* (And this is all the more upsetting when customer tell me how big their goldfish got and how they had them 5-6 years blah blah and never did gravel cleans and never used water conditioner and their bristlenose keep breeding and how I hate them. Hate hate.) I'm too scared to do waterchanges now. I'm getting myself a big inline water purifier/filter thing this weekend and will no longer do waterchanges straight from the tap. Setting up a water holding drum for water changes as well. Sook sook sook :sob: :sob: :sob: :sob:
