  1. Hey guys, Was just poking around and came across this paper. Has some really good descriptions of mating behaviors of maternal mouthbrooders for people who aren't quite sure. A lot of the other stuff in the study is really interesting as well. Just thought I'd share it.   2. Hey guys!, I have 3 12-15cm raphael catfish in a 4 x 2 x 2 tank with lots of hide spots/driftwoods and live plants and have been trying to figure out how to trigger these guys to breed?. Online all i seem to find is people saying its hard to get them to breed but would like to know things i need to consider/do to help assist? PLEASE HELP:D thanks guys. Chris
  3. Hi guys I've been told that rays can be quite aggressive during mating and I was wondering if there is a point where I should intervene. Obviously I would be happy if they did breed however I'm worried that the female is starting to get seriously injured. Have attached a pic.

  5. Just a short video of some of my babies, Salvini fry are 3 days old, Split Gene Jack dempseys are maybe 10-11weeks, White Saum Fry are 5-6 weeks, and looks like my other 2 White Saums are doing the deed! Once I get my other 9 tanks/fish room setup, will be plenty of pics and video's :egrin
  6. Another one of those grabbed moments where you take the shot anyway you can. Tank light only and that 50mm lens again, wide open at iso 1600............technically **** but it shows their movements and colour
  7. What are these 2 doing? They do it every night when I come home from work. Always in the same corner. They have been doing it for almost 3 weeks now. I was finally able to record it. Extra Info: They are both just over a year old and both about 26-27cm. I have no idea of there sex. But I did notice two pink "Spikey" looking things in the Albino ones never region. Video is stil uploading....give it about 5 minutes.
  8. can this happen because i watched the female gold ram laying eggs and the male blue ram coming across and smearing the eggs my question is can actually have babies??????
  9. No bigger than 3 inches, need to get rid of asap.
  10. I purchased two jack dempseys about a month ago and a week later they laid and hatched eggs. I do not have the room or the money for them to continue their mating habits so I need to get rid of them asap. They are no bigger than 3 inches.
  11. Just wondering if anyone knows any good online stores that have cheap prime and filter media, guppies is alrght but after buy rolls of filter media not a little sheet at a time. Thanks
