  1. Welcome store owners. QLDAF recognises that good stores are hard to find. The stores that give good advice tend to as they are hobbyists first and foremost. Stores have been on QLDAF from the start. The rules have been changed to recognise stores. All stores may have there business name as there user name. This way members can know who is giving good advice. Store owners who are not sponsors are not allowed to sell goods in the trader or advertise. They are however allowed to participate in our three monthly auctions. Full rules are here: http://www.qldaf.com/forums/welcome-room-beginners-corner-22/forum-guidelines-77084/ Consideration to those who want to get full value out of QLDAF and support the forum by sponsorship will be given to member stores first. So welcome all Aquarium Store Owners.

  5. Just thought Id put something(which is pretty obvious)out there....now that a few people have some of these guys(mainly in small numbers for display purposes)...I just want to stress the fact that these guys can interbreed so bear this in mind if you ever get accidental spawns..these "accidental" offspring in my opinion should never be released back into the hobby...and if for some odd reason you think that this is a good idea...it MUST be told to any future fish keepers...to jeopardise the genetics of these 2 varieties would not only be stupid but sad for an already rare couple of beautiful malawi predators ....so be smart keep rare fish pure (as can be ) just my 5c Champsochromis Caeruleus (longer and thinner in physique than spilos...) Champsochromis Spilorhynchus (chunkier and shorter in physique than caeruleus and also spilos have a dark patch/spot on the face between the eye and lips which is very noticeable as juveniles)

  7. Hi all I have a FX5 hooked up to me 6x2x2 tank, it was suggested to my by my LFS to install both the inlet and outlet up one end of the tank with the outlet pointing towards the other end. I only have 10 4cm peppermint bristlenose and 3 8cm to 10cm marble bristle nose in the tank at the moment I am finding this is not working very well as there a lot of debris and fish **** on the floor the tank thats not getting collected How to you have yours setup? I was thinking adding 2 wave makes to come on a couple of hours a day push the crap to the inlet of the canister What are your thoughts?
