  1. Hi all, i just bought a second hand Resun CL-280 chiller and there was no manual for it. I have tried to find one on google but no luck. Can anyone point me in the right direction for one or let me know how to adjust temps and switching on temps etc. I have had a play with it but I don't understand what each function does it has F1, F2, F3 and F4 with parameters that you can adjust. It would also be good if someone could let me know on what each setting is suppose to be on. Thanks

  3. Hi Guys. I have this resun 4 outlet air pump, and for some reason its only blowing air outta the 3 outlets? Its only about 6 months old. Can you pull the pump apart to see whats goin on? I think it still could be under warranty...
  4. Has anyone had any experiance with these? I am starting up a breeding rack of 6 tanks and am starting to look at the fit out. Cheers, Troy
  5. Hi all how's everyone going, I haven't been on for a while! I'm considering getting a ehiem 2260 however I could save some coin and more importantly get a better result with the resun and it's higher output... Anyone know if the resun have bypass issues with the trays not tight on the output or sides of the casing? I'd just prefer which ones going to give better mechanical filtration as my Americans are messy eaters.
  6. Hi. I have been using Resun pond pumps for a number of years, first the 5F and more recently the 6F. On the whole I've found them to be quite reliable work horses, though with some peculiarities. Over the life of these pumps they've had at least 1 impeller replacement but all have shown the same oddity. Unlike other impellers i've come across, the magnet at the base of these impellers has a fitted metal jacket. Not a bad idea at first glance, until you take into account metal wear. Compare my original 5F impeller base to a much newer, thought being replaced for unrelated reasons 6F impeller base. Over time the rounded metal jackets sheers through with both models litering the impeller chamber with metal shards. I had hoped the 6F impellers may have resolved the issue as they come with 2 extra thick hard plastic washers however I have still found metal shards. I presume both these washers are suppose to sit under the impeller? I just received a new 6F impeller today where they are both above the impeller so I'd appreciate if anyone can confirm the correct location? As for the metal sheering, am I missing something or is that a design issue? If I where cynical I might be tempted to wonder if it where to encourage periodic replacement... 5F impeller 6F impeller
  7. Hello all Did anyone knows where to get (buy) the rubber ring or rubber seal inside the LP60? My lp60 are leaking air around the rubber seal area which caused the output air reduced. I can seal it up permanently so it won't leak any air but I want to do it properly. Best to replace with the new rubber seal than to fixing temporary which might be hard to remove it later. I contacted AOA but they don't have it so if anyone know where to get it please pm me. Thanks in advance Regards, Ryan

  10. Hey all, I Finally finished off plumbing up my whole shed to my LP40 2day, Thanks to Pete n Chris who helped I'd been running half my shed on the LP40 already n the other half on 5x 200L/hr jobbies. In the interest of savin power I decided to plumb the lot as one I got my hands on a LP100 should do the job nicely. I bought 19mm black garden sprinkler hose from bunnings n the nessecary fittings. I'd been givin the advice to "Loop" my system for Maximum Air Pressure After watching Chris do his shed it was even easier than I thought. I sent out over a couple of weekends setting everything up so that the change over downtime was minimal I have had the pleasure of meetin a few more ppl off this forum over the last few weeks n realised my LP100 was MAJOR overkill for my shed so I decided I would test my system with my LP40 first Once everything was set to go Chris, Pete n Myself set out plumbing up 24x Large Sponge filters, 14x Airstones, 2x 2ft Airstones n 1x 32" Airstone. After double checking everything was connected we turned on the LP40 n started adjusting the taps on each airline. It took bout 30min for the system to fully pressurize n us to tweeck all the filters n airstones so everything was running good My fears were true that the LP100 was overkill n my LP40 runs everything perfect Luckily Chris was in the market for a LP100 n every1 turned out a Winner My Shed-A-Quarium is so much quieter now aswell n more energy efficient I should have done this ages ago I thought I would share my experience so other ppl can save some $$$ too Tim
  11. Can anybody help I bought a Resun TS600 500w heater (the ones with a titanium core and seperate controller)a few weeks ago. Anyway the sensor is working as in when I turn up the dial and pass the temperature that the tank is sitting at the power light clicks on to start heating. But it is not heating at all. I was hoping that someone else owned one and new any little tricks. I filled the water up a bit too high the other day and core was totally submerged, but I had a look this afternoon and it seems to be a completely sealed unit. It is under warranty but problem is I have to send it away and will have to buy a new heater in the mean time so my fish don't die. Any help appreciated, Cheers Mark.
