  1. I am down to three Cadell River Gertrude of 10 that I got from Aquagreen. I want to breed these guys this year, I only have 3 two females and a male, looking for another male to get the competiton going. Anyone got a few spares they wanna trade or sell.
  2. I have a Texas that is about 250mm, Male 6 bar about 250mm, Female 6 bar about 150mm, electric yellow 150mm and a Pleco about 350mm. All the fish are roughly 3 1/2 - 4 years old. Any help would be greatly appreciated
  3. I am currently breeding Rhadinocentrus Ornatus ( Snapper ck) . I am breeding these because I like them but I have about 100 fry to grow out already , which is more than I need . That said , I really do not want to see the other little ones get picked off one by one ( plus if they happen to do it while my Disability Grandson is watching he freaks out and gets upset ) I have no wish to sell them as feeders or anything like that ( I have Crimson spots that every summer I put down in my hornwort tank who's population doubles every 3 or 4 months that the only Interest I have had is as feeders ) Rainbows are not feeders ! So the dilemma pull the fry or let them get eaten ? What do others on here do with there offspring of unpopular species ?
  4. Hi everyone, very new here, have never sold a fish and have only kept the basic types in a 2 foot tank. I recently got some cash and decided i would by a 6 foot tank and keep my favorite fish "Rainbows" in it. The fish tank i purchased came with a variety of fish that: A: like to dig the crap out of the gravel. B: dig my plants out and destroy them. Im not fond of any of the fish at all and really want to get rid of them (in a nice way) before i start putting some nice Rainbows in the tank. here are the fish that are currently in the tank. Does anyone have a dollar value for them or want to buy them off me? Thanks in advance and sorry to the people that like these type of fish. A: B: C: x 2 of these D: E: F: G:
  5. .Hey guys, does anyone one know what pet shops on the Northside would consider buying my venustus?
  6. Just a reminder on what happens when you put a picture in your sales thread. Firstly on the forum the first picture you insert is used a the thumbnail when viewing the classifieds, meaning anyone scanning the list sees your fish. Read below for more information. http://www.qldaf.com/forums/qld-cichlid-trader-classifieds-113/introducing-new-image-thumbnails-qldaf-aquarium-trader-89727/ Secondly your ad automatically is posted on our facebook wall, increasing the exposure of your ad to other fish hobbyists in QLD. Again the first picture you insert is placed into the ad. A good picture will help you sell your goods. For some tips on how to take good pictures have a read here. http://www.qldaf.com/forums/photography-video-lounge-23/aquatic-photography-101-a-77122/ Remember a picture is worth a thousand words and can be a good way to sell your stuff. 7. Hi guys trying to get the lighting set up for my breeding rack up and running, these are non plant tanks so not using flash led cree set ups just plain simple led strips to illuminate the tanks, anyway I have found that old gutted aquarium fluro light housings make good homes for LED strip lights. I need only 3 x 3ft, single or twin fluro not bothered, prefer knackered ones, but if anyone has any old T8 housing you don't want anymore or wanna sell cheap, Im your man, please pm me. Phil This kind of thing, nothing fancy, I just want it for the housing.

  14. In particular: If the first post of a new member was to inquire about buying your fish? You know nothing about him/her. they've made no contribution to the forum............not even an introduction. Would you open your door to 'em? We've all heard of stuff going missing when buyers have been round, and even of whole fish rooms being wiped out so just who are you prepared to deal with? Me? I only deal with known quantities and to be honest, I feel a bit plssed off when put in a similar position. Feel like perhaps I'm being rude ignoring 'em, but then again, not prepared to take the risk of being involved with them. It's not like you're ebaying or gumtreeing where you can keep 'em at the door is it? If you're selling fish then they're gonna want to enter your home to see 'em?

  16. Hey! I've been keeping crystal shrimp for a while now (reds and blacks). But now I've found I have a few - 8 - brownish ones (some people call them light black ). I'm not sure if it's from the reds breeding with the blacks, but anyway - is it wrong to try sell the brown/light black ones? Would anyone even want them? or should I use them as feeders? I'm thinking about just keeping reds from now on anyway as I've only got a couple blacks left (have a lot more reds). All my shrimp would be A to S grade. Interested to hear your thoughts?
