  7. Hi All, I have been flirting with this idea for a while.. I would like to build some square sponge filters for my new setup.. When i say square i dont mean cubes ..thinking like 40mm thick by about 200 or 300 square.. the reason for this is two reasons.. i hate placing big round sponge filters in the middle of tanks as i beleive they take up to much space and well i just hate placing them in the tanks i know if ya tanks are big enough it shouldnt matter but i dont beleive mine are.. So just wondering if anyone has seen these before either brought or made. I have a few ideas just seeing if anyone has attempted it before. Ta Luke
  8. If you're working with centimeters multiply the length times width, times hight, then divide by 1000 to obtain the volume in liters. For those working in feet and inches: 12 Inches = 1 Foot 1728 cu. Inches = 1 cu. Foot 1 cu. Foot = 7.48 Gallons (US) = 28.31 Liters (I find this one the most usefull) 231 cu. Inches = 1 Gallon (US) 55.69 cu. Inches = 1 Liter Other usefull conversions: 1 Liter = 0.264 Gallon (US) 1 Gallon (US) = 3.785 Liters 1 Inch = 2.54 cm
