  12. Hi All, I'm Jeff from Uk originally, but have been in Thailand for some time now. Just thought you might find this interesting. I was walking the dogs around the village lake, and I came across this terrapin, floating in the water, climbed down to get it, core did it stink. Any I looked it up on the web, and if it's what I think it is. A Mangrove Terrapin, then its a very rare find .......check this out...... http://www.ens-newswire.com/ens/jan2007 ... -11-03.asp I have seen another 2 or 3 of these while I have been fishin in the village lake. I have cotacted the local fisheries dept but have had no reply. Regards Jeff

  14. Sawatdee Khrap....( Hello ) I'm Jeff, from the Uk originally, I have been in Thailand for the last 4 years. At present, in the process of setting up a Betta fish farm but have had to put it on hold, due to the rainy season. I am lucky I have 2 large lakes either side of our home I rent and both are filled with Wild/Thai freshwater spieces including Giant Gourami's, Koi, Roach, Several Species of Catfish, Chub, Carp, and 5/8 ILB one's that look like Giant Pirahna's with teeth to match, also long snouted pipe like fish again with many teeth, locals call them aligator-fish, also many other species but not sure what they are. 1. This lake belongs to the family. Taken from top end. 2. This lake is the viallage lake, supplies our village with all its water needs except drinking water. Our home is to the right. Pic was taken in August, just before rains came. Last month banks on both lakes broke their banks and we where flooded twice. Fish every where. 3. This is a giant gourami I caught in the village lake and transferred it into ours. Will post more pics soon. If any of you Betta, gouramis, tetras, arrowana, discus, South American dwarf cichlids, rasboras and cat-fish, Breeders/Keepers need any Indian Almond Leaves, I have just gathered quite a few Grade A freshly fallen leaves, prices are very reasonable and include postage via airmail from Thailand...PM if interested or email me at block-2@hotmail.com. Right me off to see what the rest of you are up to on the forum... Laeo phop kan na.....( See You Later )
