  3. I found this old diary whilst cleaning up and thought I would share availability and prices back in 1992, these were fish I bred at the time and were for sale to a co-op of friends, wholesalers and retailers so obviously prices were not retail, but guess it shows some of the fish available in those days and the wholesale prices. 8. I saw this on an American site & thought i would try it.I went to Bunnings a purchased Ozmacote pond ferts. I partially ground them up & put it in to 00 gel capsules. Placed a few around the roots of my plants & they are starting to develop nice dark leaves & are having a growth spurt & a half. The packet recommends replacing every 6 months or so. I am running DIY co2 and using Flourish Excel too.

  13. Hey I have a theory that I was wondering if other people agreed or disagreed with from there experiences? the theory is if you raise two or more fish that shouldn't get along together from young they seem to get along together better when they are big. For eg I've had oscars up 20-25cm live with Africans that would easily fit in their mouth I've also had a 35cm mangrove jack living with Aussie bass about the same size. The exception I have found is when breeding is entered into the mix then it all changes. The reason I'm wondering people's opinions is that I've just brought three festae hopefully a pair but the remaining fish I would love to go in a tank with other fish such as oscars etc. Thanks Clint

  17. Well most of you have probs seen my post about this little fella being brutally beaten up by another male, roughly about a month or two ago. He has since been recovering quite well, have had no issues with infections. Though recently he started to develop a lump on the side of his face, it was always there, i thought it was just a result of the beating. But its been growing and last night i checked on him before bed. And he now has a giant eye! Also the lump is starting to "Rupture?", showing little white bits coming out. Is there anyway i can fix this problem, or should i just end his suffering? He doesn't seem to mind the eye nor does it effect the way he usually moves about the tank, along with eating and showing his girlfriend he is still boss.

Hello has anyone seen or no if there are any television ads regarding Tilapia or Mozambique mouth brooders, and the consequences people may have to face if caught homing these fish, they should be destroyed instantly have you heard how many carp were caught during the carp busters event held( not good in my opinion there taking over our freshwater rivers throughout Australia) and castnetting in freshwater riverways dams ponds ect, I think also holds big penaltys if caught,,, wat do people think, If the fish mentioned above get as bad as the filthy european carp we now have roaming our rivers ect....Snapping Expansive graphite rods lol,, c,mon wat are your thoughts peoples..... I think it needs to be on tv in news papers Posters in pet store"s ect

  21. I thought I had 2 crabs. Was I seeing double? Grabbed the camera just to make sure. The bottom one looked a little dirty but its claws were waving in the current and it looked alive. I put my hand in and touched it and it fell off the rock. Its a crab shell lol. Even the feathery feeding feelers were replaced. He must have turned into a rubbery figure to get his new claws out from under the old ones. If he was rubbery, its a wonder the anemone didn't grab and eat him. Maybe thats why he did it on the rock instead? All clean, hardened up shell and happy crabby.
