  1. I am completely over people taking culls or low grade that are handed around and selling at a profit elsewhere. This practice is far too common and people praise Facebook and Gumtree when people buy culls from here and sell on those places. These people are not good for the hobby. I have two possible rule changes: 1. Anyone found buying culls or low quality fry from here and selling elsewhere will be banned from trader. 2. Anyone found buying and selling fry to make a profit from members will be banned. At the moment I do not concern myself with the going's on elsewhere, but I am starting to feel that it makes the forum complacent in allowing trading of low quality fish to the ignorant masses on Facebook and Gumtree. I think I prefer option 1 as it is clear a misrepresentation, and there are times members want to clear a tank for various reasons..... I do not want to make things difficult for the volume quality breeders who want to move bulk fish, but am tired of the ongoing misrepresentation by various sellers on Facebook and Gumtree on selling poor quality fish from here.
  2. As of today the QLDAF Trader will have an automated closure system to prevent unnecessary resurrection of old threads. What this means is that after 30days of no discussion on a sales thread it will automatically CLOSE If you are unsuccessful with your sale during 30days and your thread closes my advice would be to carefully rethink as to why. Some suggestions would be Clearer Pictures, Price Reduction, Clear description ect
  3. Due to the ever growing popularity in keeping shrimp as a hobby i have now created a NEW shrimp trader the shrimp trader will make it easier for those who are into breeding and keeping of shrimp to buy and sell here the trader can be found in the QLD livestock trader on this forum

  6. Do many people use the aquarium trader? I've asked mods on some other forums I'm on if I can make a thread about it on their forum Personally I still think it's a good idea and we should try to get more people on board! aquariumtrader.com.au

  12. OK, this is getting old i know but people still sign up , log in and post trader ads without reading the rules. this means YOU.!!! please read ---->> viewtopic.php?f=10&t=110 and take note , it is a requirement that you have a location in your profile.
  13. Hiya peoples, Should we make a rule that if you post an actual "FS" i.e. For Sale in the Trader section, that a price should be included in your post? So if you have no price to list, you should make it an "EOI" post instead? (i.e. Enquiring On Interest or "Expression of Interest") Just noticed in recent months there seems to be more and more FS posts with no actual price, then the inevitable "how much you chasing?" question is replied, then we might get a "dunno, how much you offering" or a "send me a PM if interested". I know on other forums you must list a price for any goods for sale and if you don't know or can't think of a price, list an "EOI" for enquiring on interest instead. Or am I being a pain in the butt and this is too hard for most? I personally find it time wasting for everyone if people aren't serious enough to sell something and actually list a price against their goods. But maybe it's just me.
