  1. Some awesome specimens in this video, but the blackbelt is just an absolute beast! This isn't my tank or video
  2. My stand for my 6x2x2 was quite low, so decided to build a stand to raise it up a bit. Watched a video on youtube of a bloke Joey DIY aquarist on youtube so decided to copy his video and give it a crack. Im no handyman by any stretch but the build turned out OK. Bought a cheap drill and mitre saw and away I went, with some help. Stand is now 900mm high, so once tank is on it should sit roughly at eye level. Put some aluminium tube on the back to hang my light between also. Should have enough room to put a hospital tank under main tank also. Few pics

  15. I recently got a hold of my father's Panasonic HDC-TW200 video camera.... awesome camera with astoundingly clear video footage! The camera's standard output resolution is 1920x1080... which is so huge it won't even fit on my 22" widescreen LCD monitor! (without scaling) Anyways... I've been playing around with various video editing software & got a "reasonable" compromise between upload size to youtube & video quality. Below is a ~5min clip I uploaded to youtube with a bit of a hiphop soundtrack from Brisbane's own Tigermoth. njoy [yt:18t0tt55]eDImcaSHhCg[/yt:18t0tt55] You can click on watch in HD for full clarity... i don't think the code on this forum lets me link the HD version
  16. Hi all, A while ago when I was in Sydney I went to a big LFS in Manly. This is their big 8x4x4ft freshwater native display. It is filtered by 2 x Eheim Classic 2260 canisters. I am really sorry that I wasn't more careful when I tried to zoom in on the A4 information sheet with all the tank details... it ended up too blurred to read while watching the video. Anyway, next time I am down there I will get the details and update it. I got the owner's permission before filming the tank. Cheers,
  17. Hey everyone, Was searching through youtube and found a 4 part video on Lake Tanganyika (just type "lake tanganyika" and you should see lake tanganyika part 1) and I found it to be interesting to learn and little more about tang fish and their natural environment. Also it was good to see what the lake actually looked like and learn more about how they all breed and protect their young almost like us human beings. Wont spoil it for you just have a look may learn something new. Here's the link incase your to lazy to type. Cheers Shane
