Has anyone successfully changed the green components of the eheim classics and if so how did you do it? I've googled it and comes up with krylon fusion paint to paint them but rather avoid that, also seen the grey installations kits that look okay but rather not pay the money for those. litigator666 Posted October 2, 2014 Report Share Posted October 2, 2014 Ive replaced the pipes and tubes of one of my 2280. Ive found black pipes and hoses (aquaone brand) from City Farmers (now petbarn?). The replacement pipes - no spraybar though (in and out) cost around $10/set and the tubes i think $4/meter. For 2217, you may need to buy two sets of pipe set as the outlet of that is smaller than the intake. just take note of the size of the hose or cut a small section to test if you want to fit before you buy. it's looks more classy with the black/grey pipes modification.
