Chlamydogobius eremius, Desert goby pair

Recommended Posts

.Decided to take a couple of pics of my Desert goby pair, they have bred twice. Ate the eggs the first time, I removed the eggs the second time but lost most of the eggs to fungus (didn't have any anti-fungus meds left and by the time it came in the mail they were infected) and they should be ready to breed again soon so I have another tank already set-up for the eggs and plenty of air and meth blue :)

I m not a native fish guy, but these could change me....

Yeah, they are a great little fish, plus they will happily live in almost any conditions. Mine are in the same water as my breeding discus, but they are also very happy in African lake water. Infact here are some of the parameters of the water they are found in -

It’s capable of withstanding extreme variations in temperature (5-41°C), pH (6.5-11.0), salinity (1-37.5 ppt, that's more than most sea water) and dissolved oxygen (down to 0.8 ppm O2).
