billfish
.So heres how it goes ,had nephews around yesterday and one of the little buggers turned off the internal filter on one of my tanks ,reckon it was down for 20 hrs b4 noticing .Have chucked some stability in the tank cos i reckon the bacteria is gunna be depleted so hows the best way to seed the filter ive got a couple of sponge filters running down stairs do i squeeze them out in the tank or what ? Usually theres a fx 5 running incase of something happens but it went to canister heaven any suggestions appreciated
cod
Is one of the sponge filters not really needed in its tank? I try to always have a spare one running, if you do just put it in tank, it'll spread the bacteria to your other filter and handle most of the ammonia in the mean time. The Tech Den
See if you can remove the uplift of the sponge and then see if it will connect to the hose intake of the canister and give it a squeeze clean.
Heintz.G
Can you swap one sponge and the internal for a few days, if not then yeah squeeze the sponge in the tank near the inlet of the filter.
