rennie_08
.Hi guys, i am looking into building a new stand for a 8x2.5x2.5 and was wondering if anyone has tried to use aluminium? I am gathering it's going to be double or triple the price but the weight would nearly be halved. Is it possible to build one out of aluminium or is it to soft? everyones help and comments is greatly appreciated chris
ado_84
Yea u can use it.. expensive machinery trailer as aluminum they carry tonnes. But it's going to cost a fortune.. welding aluminum is more specialized. . It won't rust but have deep pockets.
lgw
Yep, can definitely use it. I have a 2 tier 6 foot stand and I can throw it around the room by myself
litigator666
I have an aluminum stand for a 6ftr spare tank. Very light and durable. It holds a 6x2x2.5 so i think its strong enough. This was part of a package ive bought so dont know how much it really cost.
