sirbongo
Hi all, i need help deciding on which led light to buy, 8 foot x 2 foot wide and 2.5 deep. No plants just afticians on white fine sand substrate. Looking for 2 x four foot lights preferably from sponsors, just cant decide on the worx vs beamsworks vs up aqua. Also, should i go with lights for salt water systems? Thanks in advance
Lictoga
Worx from AOA seem to be the biz
sirbongo
Will the salt water one totally stress out my fish?
Heintz.G
What type of Africans in the tank, if you're worried about freaking out the fish get one to start with and go from there.
Bully
I bought strip led lights, a 50/50 white light and a blue strip one both with dimmers. So much better then the old style system I had. Bright..... -Did someone say bright, I can see them fom the moon. I found that if u don't have plants and only doing it for viewing and the look of the fish then these are great, for me anyway... I bought them locally rather than from eBay or the likes. And fairly cheap for what they are 2..... Cheers
Donny@ageofaquariums
If you went the worx, I'd prob go marine version. Its a very crisp white and tends to make coral sand look very white indeed.
AquaholicsOnline
If its for an african cichlid display i would suggest something with a little more colour. have a look at this video it of a 10,000k marine version light verses a RGB light.. the RGB realy makes the fish colours pop out Here is a video on its own of the 10,000k marine version light and here is the same tank with the RGB Version Both video's are of a 6ft x 2.8ft (H) x 2ft (W) with only 1 4ft LED light we carry both these lights in our store at very competitive prices
