Mirrorscale
Hi Everyone My white mirrorscale goldfish started to have trouble eating last week. He is acting normally every way, sifting though the gravel, coming up looking for food with his two little black comet tankmates, and in general is looking well. But, no matter what I have offered, and despite his willingness to try and eat, he just doesn't seem able to. He will take food in his mouth and either spit it out straight away or chew it for a few seconds and then spit I out. I have taken him out and shone a torch in his mouth as best I can but could not see anything obvious. I'd be so welcome for suggestions from anyone who may be able to help. I'm going to try him on some cooked peas and have put a piece of elodea in case that may help. Other than that I'm at a loss and I so don't want to lose this little guy as I've wanted one for the longest time. A trip to the vet may be on the cards Thanks Kim
Mirrorscale
Still hoping that some one more experienced than myself may be offer some words of wisdom, fish is still spitting out his food and may have spit out the peas I gave him but will try again today and watch him like a hawke for awhile. Must be someone on here who has come across this kind of thing before.
