TNT
If they're fed the right diet and the water conditions are good then they'll breed in a bare bottomed tank ( no sand or rocks ). Personally I like to keep it more natural looking though, so I stick to the tried and tested method. 2 Rock piles at each end and a small pile in the middle. Just enough to break up the gap and give the sub doms something to aspire to. Watch your fish and they'll show you where you're getting it right. Good luck! Stoney
You will probably end up like me. At first I had rocks strategically placed all round the tank. Next thing my trophs start breeding, I then had to take all the rocks out to catch the little buggers. Wow was that a pain in the backside to do that. Now it's simple. I have one big rock right in the middle. Easy to move and the trophs are still breeding. You could also silicone a number of pieces of pipe together in the shape of a triangle and place them at either end. They are very light and easy to move plus it gives the trophs more hidey holes.
