Tristan
You need a range of mechanical and biological filtration. For biological my favs are K1, marine pure balls and seachem matrix For mechanical depending on your sump design you will need either a filter sock or some dense sponges. Age of aquariums sell a variety of sponges for cheap
Lictoga
That's the point of sumps to customise your filtration
Brenton
i use dacron to remove solids and about 30+ litres of k1. K1 works great for me but i have not tried marine pure yet
TristanCollie
That's what I drew up today, just have to order media.
mq_camo
too many chambers for a 3ft sump. Do a prefilter box and media in the first chamber mq aqua and matrix. Second chamber more mr aqua, marine pure and crushed coral. Bit of a waste running bacteria house if it's not under a shower.
webmaster
The most obvious question that should have been asked is what fish are you planning to keep in the system.
mq_camo
Judging by the sump and lack if refugium I'd say freshwater fish
