FREDDY FISHEAD
Ok so you might know I've been asking about issues around a second hand tank. Well yesterday I've noticed that the silicone on the bottom edge is starting to peel off. There is still around 3-4 mm of silicone attached to it and I'm wondering if I should take it all down and reseal it. I've never done a complete reseal and as this is a major task and stress on my fish is it worth it at this stage (I know it is just want to know for sure). I know I should have checked it all before putting the water up and fish in but it all happened fast (sold one tank with fish in and had to fill it up for them). Thank you for sharing you excellent knowledge and experience. Kind regards
Fish Junkie
My rule is if you can get a fingernail under the silicone it's starting to fail Might last another two years but it will let go Better to seal it now FJ
FREDDY FISHEAD
Thanks I'm going to attempt it. It will be another water ride at my place... I'm just going to put the fish in a plastic bin I bought at bunnings just now. Keep you posted
