SamanthaJayne
I'm wanting to use a tank I have already setup for my ellioti. Is crushed coral substrate ok? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Daharkazangel
Not ideal imo. Sand is the best option
Donny@ageofaquariums
Its ok, but you dont need the pH so high as coral will make it. That said I had some on a system that was coral sand and they bred/grew out totally fine.......... well as fine as oz ellioti can
SamanthaJayne
Coral has been in this particular tank for ages as it was an African tank. Tested ph and it's sitting at 7.6 which is about normal. That's a good ph for ellioti so I went with it and have put them in. They seem happy. Will keep an eye on it. Thanks guys for your input. ozmo
An inert river sand would suit the Ellioti best IMO.
