none
Have seen various 'Afra' varieties incorrectly sold under the name Cobue - have been caught out many times. Have also seen three lots of "Yellow Afra" two of which looked nothing like an 'Afra' - the third of which were an Afra but too small to tell what type. Short answer - view the parents - only way to know what you are getting.
lenny
Thanks for your help none, the reason i asked is i got 4 fish as cyno cobue but they have no yellow on them at all , at 60mm i expected to see some yellow. i read on the internet that cobues are sometimes called yellow afra, i have only had these fish for a few days, they are very skittish maybe they need to settle in,
none
The Yellow around the head is the last part to colour up on the true strain of Cobwe I have. As juveniles they have no bars. On mine at around 5.5cm the bars developed. At around 6.5cm the Yellow just starts to become visable. That's just one strain I have - others may colour earlier or later.
