grubby Posted February 15, 2015 Report Share Posted February 15, 2015 Well where do I begin. 1. Spent heaps the night before at ANGFA meeting, so space is now at a premium, no point going. 2. Caboolture may as well be on the other side of the moon from where I live. 3. My wife is in Europe and it's just me looking after our daughter and didn't feel like dumping her on my folks two nights in a row. 3. Figured it would all be Africans and L numbers and didn't feel like sitting through scores of bloody Peacocks and peppermints on the off chance that something interesting on the Native side or in central americans might come up. Also I think Valentines day is a really stupid time to have a fish auction. I mean I know ours is a nerdish kind of hobby, but some of us have other halves. Africans, bland bn and l's, Americans,....catch the drift. Can't see the point in going to an auction to saves $2 on a clown loach. That's just my opinion though. mines bigger Posted February 15, 2015 Report Share Posted February 15, 2015 Because it was valentines day, the 1200km round trip is usually worth the even just for the catch up, all you guys whinging about driving across Brisbane are just SOFT, this is the first time in 5 or so years I have missed 2 auctions in a row, I don't plan on making it a third! Valentines day ( Im single and I dont care for the commercialization) fathers day the next day , riverfire etc get the calender out and find a Saturday without a huge sporting evet ( was up till 4.30 am watching the World cup Aust v Eng replay highlights) when there is a huge event on like the Chinchilla melon festival no one turns up!! Unfortunately didn't take many pictures of the melon festival... was too busy lining up to sign my life away to participate in the events. Then lining up even longer to go and participate in the melon skiing and melon bungy. Great fun though falling over and getting covered in watermelon!
