piraterides2020
So I bought a tall lilly (i think it is a lilly) from the auction at the end of the night to put into a large pot and hopefully breed some honey blue eyes in there. Now my question is do I need to put any soil or the likes in the base of this pot then cover with some gravel or will gravel alone be enough?.It sems like it will take some time for those ten little fish to produce any waste to feed said plants or can they grow with just water for a while alone? Cheers for any advice.
jc12
Lilly are root feeders. I recommend pot it and shove a couple of root tabs. I heard of people using soil and cap it with gravel too. But definitely root tabs.

rainbowrunner
I would put the lily in a pot inside the big one and use soil or potting mix, plenty of fertilizer then sand or gravel over the top Edited February 17, 2015 by rainbowrunner
