ryangus
Anyone able to recommend a proven tool for removing algae and grime from the glass inside the tank? There's so many different products, I'd like to cut to the chase and save some time and money and just get something that works straight off the bat. Any suggestions? Sparky19862
I get in the tank before a water change and scrape it off with a single edged blade. Works well. One or two passes and the glass is clean again. Then do a 50% water change and good for a few months. Buy a pack of 10 blades from masters or Bunnings for $2 or less. TED
talk to some of the sponsers of this forum. i use a single edged scraper bought from AOA. i have two of them. a short handled one and a long handled one. do it just before a water change as the removed algae can turn the water a little green depending on how much algae you have. Alibi
I use the white magic block, originally bought one from smiths but you can pick them up at IGA and some other places.
MNRiekert
Flipper magnet! The blade scrapes algae off effortlessly, no need for getting my sleeves wet. My flipper mag stays in the tank and the blade shows no signs of rusting after a solid year under water.
